I found an interresting old video about Switzerland's underground bunkers, airbases and artilery that is well worth watching.
the video is a bit outdated, given the plane we see, but still valid today. I know well Switzerland, and have ever visited a Maginot-styled underground bunker near their border with Italy.

you have to skip the first 30 seconds to avoid the blah-blah, another point is that it isn't english spoken, nor subtitled.
but be sure that you will LIKE what you will see, and maybe it will give you ideas for your SHTF plan:

I've no idea what they're saying, but there's some neat shit in that vid. I gotta get rich and buy me a cliff!

I forgot to mention, that this country (Switzerland) really does both understand AND grasp the concept of "Homeland Security".

To them, obviously, that isn't just a fancy-shmancy word with a hoity-toity title. It is an actual directive and way of life. Who's the idiot here, eh?

Protect ones borders and way of life, or "Free-for-All and Two-for-One, C'mon down....."

Re: interresting old video about Switzerland's defense

FYI, there's 3 language spoken in Switzerland.
Switzerland is a commonwealth divided in counties, just like Virginia in the US. the main areas are the Vaudois, the Valais and the Bernois.
save your time, unless you want to settle in Bern or Zurich with your bank account, the German speaking area is a tad boring. clean, organized but with no soul.
not to mention that the German spoken is quite different and the accent impossible to cope with.
the Leman's(geneva's) lake area is way more enjoyable, as the people, and is located in the Vaud county in the french speaking part of the country. this explain why 80% of the leaders of this planet have a(hiden)house between Geneva and Lausanne...close from their safe.
if you're more interrested in climbing, then Italian and German can help to go close from the Mattehorn(Mt Cervin) at the east of the country. this mountain is the one you see every time you watch a Paramount movie.
