Biggest danger might be their air support falling out of the sky and landing on our troops.

Why would they want to Bomb Europe anyway? Drop a bunch on Continental Europe and you would stir up a hornets nest.The Iranians might have a 100+ EU troops to deal with in addition to the USA.

These articles alone are nuts enough,but did you read the comments ? The USAF has created a ridge of high pressure over the Gulf to aid in the oil clean up.And the Massive Sandstorms during the Iraq war were created by the Pentagon to aid the US in defeating Iraq !!!!

Interesting though, makes one wonder what they have planned that they expect Americans to repond to.

I'd send nukes, not troops. We don't really need to go occupy any more Mideast countries right now.

We've been catering to Militant Islam too much lately, by sending over lots of Americans for them to try and kill. Very convenient, having Ameicans to shoot at so close to their homes.

Because they are 3 days from fueling that reactor - at which point Israel cannot attack it without massive radiation leakage.

Iran knows this and is expecting it.

B2's won't solve that problem but FOUR Trident subs converted to carrying 180 Tomahawk missiles EACH could solve that entire problem.

I like mindless chest-thumping as much as the next guy but this is painfully ignorant on multiple levels and seems to reflect the general lack of thought and knowledge of this thread.

Firstly, any kind of attack on Iran would throw the world into a huge economic depression simply because the price of oil would probably double, all spending by corporation (what's left) would freeze and investment would just die. No-one can afford that.

Secondly, the US simply cannot cope with fighting on three fronts (remember WW2 and Hitler taking on Russia, Western Europe and the US...). I doubt that it would be a 'fire and forget' situation and so ground forces would be committed. At the least, we know that Iranian regime has a vast and sophisticated network of cells all over the place that would retaliate in ways a military force is not equipped to deal with. They've learned a great deal from the one-sided cost-exchange in Iraq and A'stan.

Thirdly, even a cursory investigation into the politics of Iran would inform you that the general population (who would be the first and largest set of causalities from a radiation leak) are opposed to the suppressive regime, are actually pro-Western and so not the people who deserve to die from radiation exposure. Inflicting this injustice on them would instantly create a massive influx of new recruits into the camps of the extremists. Not in our best interest in the least.

Just thought I'd throw that in there.

Everyone knows I think that we're easily more capable of killing them than they are us. I'm guessing if it comes to the point of a killing contest they wouldn't stand a chance.

Whether or not the American public would or should stomach an additional several hundred billion dollar expensed conflict with no clearly defined beneficial outcomes, let alone more dead or maimed soldiers is certainly a question worth asking.

It's about time all the money we've been funneling through Isreal starts to reap some type of return on investment other than artificially puffing up our military industrial industries with tax payer funds.

I say let them have at it. We've got to many pies to savor as it is. Conventional Iran conflict would be a back breaker for a struggling nation.

I'm just so tired of constantly seeing/hearing Al-this and El-that.

...of finding out another friend's lost a loved one in another one of those sweltering pest holes.

...of having someone in my own government deciding we all need to be searched another way for another reason, wait in line for another hour.

...of being told that folks like me must be unbalanced to enjoy target shooting.

...of being told that when an obvious wrong is being perpetrated, the authorities' hands are tied.

...of being informed I have no right to defend myself.

The criminals have the rights, keep getting more, we don't, and we keep losing more of them.

You can only slap people on the back of the hand so long before its not effective anymore. Exactly how long has that part of the world been stirring the pot? I'm not saying whether or not I support a swift, hard strike.........but, I will not lose any sleep over it if/when it happens. People over there are happy to die for their beliefs right? Let's fulfill that fetish of theirs expeditiously! They are already taking the steps to make sure they all have a plot to RIP in, all we have to do is determine if anyone is left there to put them in it.

Sorry if this is insensitive and cold-hearted, but I, much like Greg, have grown tired and weary of all the BS and sometimes you gotta find your balls and put people in their place. I learned in one of my History classes in school that we used to take care of things this way.

Back when the Shaw skipped out, an Jimmy the peanut was in charge, I had a better plan than sending in Charlie Beckwith.


Now stay with me on this,...

First they had 48 hrs to safely transport our people to the border of Turkey. If they did not do that then our people became expendable.

Phase two if needed, load all of our C-5's, 141's an C130's with Pigs, and Fighter escort to major targets. Said pigs would be loaded with a 150' air bust charge.

If that failed to bend their will, they would fully understand the second load from B52's an B1's using F/A weapons if needed, followed by another wave of pigs.

What better way for them to meet their 72 whores, than burn't to a crisp an basted in pig blood.

Carter being a Farmer stopped the plan. His out, Americans would have to for-go bacon an ham for 2 months.

Think out of the box people, think out of the box. The Russians had their people back unharmed in a timely manner, as they dealt with them as the enemy. Not being hand wringers like we are, they taught them a lesson in "Don't Fuck with our people" which Iran seems to have remembered for a long time.

As for the Graves, I believe that's a sign of stalling on their part. Folks knowing their about to die are always happy to dig their own graves, lets them live just a little longer.

Shoot, they are pulling out of Iraq, Afghanistan is fairly close to be done with and let Coalition NAto handle it,so since they are thinking of a draw down, lets just get busy in Iran. That way we can still have all the contractor jobs reopened in a new place and the ammo, rifle, and 'other' manufacturer's will still be able to provide jobs and work for all the people.
Are not we the best at manufacturing reasons to go kick someone's ass? Do we not still owe Iran a debt that needs to be paid back in full? As the bear once said,"Let's Just knock his head Cleeeeaaaaaan Off!"

Nukes don't sound that bad. They worked like a charm for the japs in wwii. They too were zealous and prepared to sacrifice everythig for the glory of the emperor. Same situation here. We'll drop leaflets, giving all the pro western folks time to get out of dodge and whammo. We'll do one city at a time until the current leadership abdicates peacefully or the promise of freedom, either in life or death, would encourage the locals to oust that shitbag of a regime. in 50 some years Iran would be a great place. It would be a shame for the current population but they could avoid all this unpleasantness if they stood up and overthrew their oppressors. i know, a pretty simplistic overview of a very complicated problem, but sometimes the simple way is the best way. God Bless th USA and those that defend it.

We should have turned the whole area to glass in the nineties, subbed the construction of oil rigs out to newly freed USSR troops in hazmat suits, planted old glory on every f*ckin derrick and had hot and cold running gasoline nowdays.

Too much American blood in that sand for us to be paying what we do at the pumps is all I got to say.
