This is more of a "stupid gun question" than a stupid "marksmanship" question but anyway.
Rifle iron sights are graduated for a particular cartridge/bullet weight, yes? If, for example, one had a Kar98k in 8mm Mauser, then the rear sight from that rifle would not be compatible with the larger-and-heavier bullet of a 9.3x62mm cartridge, correct?
So if I wanted a military-style ramp sight for a 9.3mm rifle, I'd have to have one made or modified rather than just taking a Kar98k one and using it?
