Is it ok to use vibra-tite vc-3 for both side of the barrel?

I have an impact 737R action, a stuteville precision impact pre-fit and a ACE muzzle brake. I know it is good to use vibra-tite vc-3 for threadlocking scope screws. Is it also good to use it on thread while installing the barrel and muzzle brake?

Putting goop on your threads is no replacement for proper torque.

Use a good Anti-Sieze on barrel threads and torque barrel to 75 lb/ft. Put same anti-sieze on muzzle threads and install muzzle break. Simple answer, No, DO NOT use Vibration-rite on barrel threads.

No, used anti seize for the action. Torque to spec.

For the brake, same thing, if running a silencer I would Rockset the brake.

Antisieze of some nature as guys have said. I’m of the opinion red loctite and rock set should be banned in the gun world, everything needs to come off at some point or another and both of those just make things break.

You don’t even need anti seize. Just a little basic grease on the barrel threads when going in the action works fine.

I use TW25B on my barrel threads, but a good drop of Aeroshell 64/33MS lithium grease, or Loc-Tite C5-A copper antiseize works just fine, too.

Copper, good to know. I can never remember if it's supoosed to be copper or nickel for stainless.

Either can go on any metal, the copper vs. nickel is how high the temp rating is and how corrosive the environment is.

Nickel-based anti-seize lubricant that safeguards mated metal parts from seizure and corrosion and offers protection in both extreme cold and extreme heat (-65.2°F to 2400°F).

Copper anti-seize is resistant to extremely high temperatures (up to +980°C - 1796°F) and protects from rust, corrosion, galling and seizing.

Not to my knowledge, but doesn't hurt to check with the manufacturer in a quick email or phone call...

That's why I use and recommend just using some TW25B or Aeroshell 64/33MS.

Weld them just to be 100% sure
