First thing I though after reading the title...This should be interesting
I use TW25B on my barrel threads, but a good drop of Aeroshell 64/33MS lithium grease, or Loc-Tite C5-A copper antiseize works just fine, too.You don’t even need anti seize. Just a little basic grease on the barrel threads when going in the action works fine.
Copper, good to know. I can never remember if it's supoosed to be copper or nickel for stainless.I use TW25B on my barrel threads, but a good drop of Aeroshell 64/33MS lithium grease, or Loc-Tite C5-A copper antiseize works just fine, too.
Either can go on any metal, the copper vs. nickel is how high the temp rating is and how corrosive the environment is.Copper, good to know. I can never remember if it's supoosed to be copper or nickel for stainless.
Okay good to know. I thought one of them reacted mildly with stainless steel for some reason.Either can go on any metal, the copper vs. nickel is how high the temp rating is and how corrosive the environment is.
Nickel-based anti-seize lubricant that safeguards mated metal parts from seizure and corrosion and offers protection in both extreme cold and extreme heat (-65.2°F to 2400°F).
Copper anti-seize is resistant to extremely high temperatures (up to +980°C - 1796°F) and protects from rust, corrosion, galling and seizing.
Not to my knowledge, but doesn't hurt to check with the manufacturer in a quick email or phone call...Okay good to know. I thought one of them reacted mildly with stainless steel for some reason.
That's why I use and recommend just using some TW25B or Aeroshell 64/33MS.But again remember neither is needed and a little grease will work fine. Grease also cleans easier. Anti seize can be a mess.
Weld them just to be 100% sureI have an impact 737R action, a stuteville precision impact pre-fit and a ACE muzzle brake. I know it is good to use vibra-tite vc-3 for threadlocking scope screws. Is it also good to use it on thread while installing the barrel and muzzle brake?
