Is Something Going on in Taiwan?

This is a pretty interesting piece on Chinese "unrestricted warfare" doctrine:

One could argue we've been at war with China for decades, we just don't know or won't admit it.

They took (by underbidding and subsidizing) most of our industry, and have been flooding the country with drugs (massive drug precursors going to Mexico with no legitimate purpose).

And of course buying more than a few politicians along the way.

A good vid for bookmarking (I listened to while falling asleep, have to try finishing it tonight, getting old)

Please stop starting these "Is something happening in..." threads.

Last time you did this Putin invaded the country mentioned.

Coincidence?

I think not.
Wait a second, its not her fault. The "one who shall not be named" said there was nothing going on in Ukraine....and he was from Ukraine.... Louisiana.
He jinxed the whole thing.
We should only be worried if a "landscaper/flimflam man" from Taiwan chimes in here.

Is something going o

(Note: any sources (i.e. unicorn riot) with mastodon are lefty)

Update (not gonna hijack the legit Taiwan thread further)

Whens the last time China conducted a cross seas invasion of a country??

Okay now the real kicker. When is the last time the United States has conducted a cross seas invasion of a country.

Who is the real threat to peace?

That in and of itself means nothing. You could say when was the last time china won a war, hell Vietnam kicked their ass.

I agree with your statement at the end however.

China knows how to play the long game, our "leaders" are only looking 40 years ahead at best.

In a land war. When is the last time in history China’s military has crossed open sea’s to confront another legitimate military force?

Japan was an extremely isolationist country for 200+ years before the 1850’s. That didn’t stop them from trying to conquer the pacific in 1940’s. Underestimating China is a huge mistake.

And how did that work out for them…

Fixed that for you, haha.

You make my point. The U.S. tried to have one foot in Europe and one foot out at the start of WWII. We didn't pay attention to Japan, and did stupid things like park an entire Navy in one harbor. The result of those mistakes was some of the most brutal fighting Marines have ever seen, culminating in the US nuking Japan to avoid a ground invasion. Read E.B. Sledge's book on what that fight was actually like.

We only prevailed because Japan had no hope of being a peer to the U.S. in a conflict. And because by happenstance the aircraft carriers that were supposed to ALSO be parked in Pearl Harbor were late. Play that same sequence of events out but change Japan to present day China and there is no hope of a happy ending for anyone, and it looks alot like the picture you attached above.

They got their asses kicked, just like China would.

Your point was fucking retarded.

I guess this is the de facto official war with China over Taiwan thread (mainly due to the catchy title)
Anyway, them China peeps are up to NO GOOD!

Better hurry up and pivot from Ukraine, unless we want a double-war.

I think at this point it’s too late to avoid a double war
