Is there a way to change the reticle?

Noob question.

I am running a Nightforce B.E.A.S.T and I love it. Maybe not the best glass, but dang that thing tracks well and gives me plenty of mil's to adjust.

I have the standard Mil-R SHV reticles. I was wondering, can I change it to the MIL-XT or do I have to get a new scope?

While it cvan be done, sometimes its WAYYY cheaper to just sell the old scope and buy new. Right now I am in that very situation with a S&B PMII. I want the new GRID reticle but $875 for a reticle change isn't justifiable.
