This one might take a while since I'm going to possibly moving, but what a better time to start than now. I'll just be tinkering with it as I have free time anyway.

The receiver is a scrubbed VZ 24 and the bolt is one I picked up a while ago at a gun show table that had a pretty bolt handle on it. I don't recall who made the barrel as I picked it up a while ago also but it's a 24" 30-06 I may chuck in the lathe and cut down to 22" or 20" but I'm undecided yet, and the stock is a very pretty piece of Bastogne walnut.

I want to find someone who will color case hardened this receiver once I clean it up because that would look absolutely gorgeous in that stock. It's going to be a lovely addition to my Africa rifles.

I plan to have Glenrock Blue refinish the Africa Mauser I'm setting up to do; the receiver and bolt shroud (and maybe the trigger guard) will be color-cased by Turnbull Restoration through Glenrock.

I finally picked up the mandrel over the weekend and finished the receiver prep. I still need to figure out what sights and scope mounting I want, I don't have the tools for that. Now to rent the reamer and get this cleaned up for bluing.
