After looking at the pros and cons of the AIAE and the TRG Im going with the AIAE. Its a matter of the fixed stock or the folder now. Is the folder worth the extra coin? Since this will be a new rifle who has the best prices? I would be greatful for any info. Thanks.

Re: Ive decided on the AIAE

Great choice and I agree with SSG (mostly), I use both and I feel like unless you have a specific need for the folder or just have the extra cash laying around, I'd stay with the 1.5. I don't remember the difference in price exactly, but I think you could fund a AI scope mount and/or a monopod with the difference. Better use of funds in my opinion.

Re: Ive decided on the AIAE

I like the folder for three reasons:

1.) It's very snipery, Bob Lee Swagger, Hitman awesomeness...

Ok, now for serious reasons:

2.) You can put it in a smaller case that is easier to transport i.e. car trunk

3.) With the 1.5, you have to take the cheek piece off to clean the rifle, which can only take a couple seconds if you have the thumbscrews, but I prefer only having to fold it out of the way with the 2.0.

Those aren't very strong reasons, but they are the ones that make the 2.0 appeal to me.

I would still call around though to be sure.

Re: Ive decided on the AIAE

I went with the folder and have no regrets. I run a 20" barrel with a suppressor. With the folder I can leave the suppressor on and place the rifle in my drag bag. I do have the thumbscrews for my cheek piece but I prefer not to remove it. The folder makes cleaning the bore a little easier. Although, I'm not a bore scrubbing fanatic so that's a somewhat limited reason.

I don't recall the folder being that much more so for dropping that kind of coin for the rifle, I figured I'd just get the folder option.

Call diann at Mile high or randy, I just have always death with diann. Mile high can't be any better...

I bought a aw .308 with 1.5s because I was worried about the hinge getting loose. Of course now I want a folder so I have 2 AXs on order through mile high
