Ivy & Bore Tech cleaning rods

I have an Ivy rod and love it. I'm in the market for a new rod since i could use one that is longer. I have emailed Denny but have yet to hear back from him. So i am not sure if he is just busy or if something else is going on.

In the mean time i have been researching alternatives, and Bore Tech has one in a length i can use (48-50"). They seem top quality and would like to hear the opinions for those that have a BT rod. This will be for a 6.5CM. Im torn between the 223CF rod at .205" diameter vs the .243/6mm-.270 rod at .221" diameter.

Get the Boretech caliber specific rod. I enjoy mine much more then my Dewey rod plus no stupid adapters needed for jags.

Boretech all the way in my household now.

Denny is a friend and its a bitch for me to get a response lately. Lot of life just going on,nothing bad. He really isn't sure what he is going to be doing with the rods or smithing.

Yes, don’t expect anything from Denny for a while. I live nearby to him and sent several emails, voicemails and texts telling him I have money in hand for a .20 cal rod (wanted it for my Vudoo V22) and no reply. I gave up and bought a .20 cal ProShot rod.

I purchased a 60" Bore Tech for my AR-50 about 4 years ago and have been very pleased with it.

You can't go wrong with the Boretech, and don't give in to a cheaply priced Tipton. They are verifiable dogshit.

I'll just order a bore tech. No doubt I am a fan of Ivy rods, I have one now and will continue to use it. I can understand that life happens and things change drastically in the blink of an eye. But from the sounds of it, Denny really should change his voice mail message, an auto email reply or SOMETHING... a message on the website, etc.... Simply not giving any contact to his customers is not a good way to be. Obviously something is happening and it is probably not real pleasurable I would assume, and I hate to hear that for anyone.

I had already made my mind up partially that if I have not heard from him in a week I would just go one somewhere else. In the past I recall quick responses from him. If I have sent an email and hear nothing, then sent you a text to ensure that you may have received my email and to make sure it didn't get thrown to the spam folder and I still have not heard anything... well that doesn't leave me with many options.
