Re: JAE-700
I have both stocks (JAE-100G2 and AICS).
Both have adjustable LOP and and comb height, and hence excellent ergonomics. The JAE has an adjustable handrest, but the AICS is a completely different beast -- a thumbhole stock. Both are ready to work with Accu-Shot monopods (different models, though). The JAE has more rails available out-of-the-box.
The JAE stock's seams are covered with rubberized padding on the grip, which makes it more comfortable than the AICS -- which chafes ever-so-slightly! Apart from that, fit and finish on both are excellent -- with the JAE being maybe a wee bit nicer.
I find that the AICS 2.0 makes for easy cleaning, and I don't believe the JAE-700 will be able to compare on that front because it's just not a folding stock -- something's going to have to come apart. On the other hand, they are going to be offering a quick-detach mechanism for the adjustable comb that may address the issue, provided that a cleaning rod will clear the stock with the comb off.
A folding stock also makes it possible to pack the rifle up in a smaller case -- something else to consider.
The JAE-700 is supposedly going to accept AICS magazines, so no difference there.
To me, the no-bedding-required for both platforms makes for a hands-down winner.
Customer service ... the AICS distributors here (like Adam) provide excellent service. JAE also provides excellent service -- a very nice gal named Lisa is a model for excellent customer service whom everyone else in this industry should follow! (She can actually keep you happy by telling you the truth and providing you with proactive updates during otherwise inscrutible production delays and uncertain time-lines ... she really is amazing).
So, honestly, you're probably not going to go wrong either way. One's a 7-series BMW, the other's an S-Class Mercedes.
