Started talking with Jay Hal early Thursday morning. He didn't appear real knowledgabke so I went into greater detail than i normally would so he would understand and maybe appreciate the kind of deal I was offering. To cut to the chase after working with him most of the day he said he had someone local to me that he was trying to get in touch with to pick up the rifle that day. As I was waiting I turned a couple of other guys away since I had given Jay several outs but he was adamant that he was buying the rifle. At the end of the day things were getting a little odd and some of the things he started saying didn't add up. When I asked again how he intended to pay this is the text he sent me.
"I want the gun but PP ain't safe at all for me
Can U send it to an FFL in Weatherford, I can view the gun and then PP the money?
I will PP the money (cost of shipping) for u to ship it
U can call the manager and speak with them about the deal "
Now who in their f'ing right mind does business like that? And to tell me to ship $3k worth of rifle and parts that's selling for half that to someone when he went sideways on the deal and for just the cost of shipping??? And it ain't safe for him? What the fuck does he think is safe about that for me?? Especially when I made it clear I had other buyers waiting that same day and at that price with everything I was including that it was leaving that day with someone because I knew when I put that price on it people were going to start lining up. But to carry a deal for a full day from 7am to 5pm then throw that shit on the table.? I told him had he made his conditions clear up front then I would have considered working with him. But as it was and the way he handled it,. I walked.
Now I thought surely that was the last of this yahoo I'd seen. But no. At 6:11am this morning out of the blue I get this text below. AND after the rifle had sold yesterday morning less than 12 hours later like I told him it would. His text below..
"
Morning sir, hey my offer is still good sending you $400 this am via pay pal, send to an FFL, and I will pay the balance $1100.00 plus the shipping it cost u
Do business with him if you like but make him commit up front.
