Course description:
The Combative Pistol, Level
Two (CP2) is an intermediate 3-day course focused on hammering out the rough
edges to the modern gunfighter. It will instruct the pistol’s core fighting
skills by using full range sessions and high repetitions to continue forging
correct technique. The course will progress to more challenging drills that will
increase the student’s shooting speed and combat marksmanship. Graded evolutions
throughout the course provide instant feedback to the student on skill
development, technique deficiencies and overall ability. The linear progressive
training exercises refines the combative fundamentals in order to progress to
more advanced courses.
Terminal objectives:
Upon completion of the
Combative Pistol, Level 2 (CP2) course, the student will successfully qualify
with a 80% or better on the final Standards Test using a tactical pistol firing
duty ammunition with iron sights.
Enabling
objectives:
•Demonstrate safe weapons handling skills, nomenclature and
manual of arms for the pistol.
•Demonstrate knowledge of basic pistol
equipment and individual combat equipment loadout.
•Demonstrate knowledge and
understanding of tactical safety procedures.
•Demonstrate knowledge and
understanding of the Warrior Mindset.
•Demonstrate knowledge and
understanding of the Combat Shooting System™.
•Demonstrate knowledge and
understanding of anatomical target zones.
•Exposure to the Marksmanship
Training Program™.
•Perform preparatory and combat marksmanship training
exercises.
•Mature fighting skills to achieve an optimum balance of accuracy
and speed.
•Perform ready positions training exercises.
•Perform
drawstroke training exercises.
•Perform malfunction clearance and combat
reload training exercises.
•Perform strong hand only training
exercises.
•Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of shooting on the
move.
•Perform shooting on the move training exercises.
•Perform multiple
threat training exercises.
•Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the
various forms of cover or concealment.
•Perform use of cover training
exercises.
•Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of low light and no light
