What could be the first of a great new franchise based on Edgar Rice Burroughs' <span style="font-style: italic">Barsoom Chronicles</span>. Writer of about a hundred books, many of is stories have already been made (and remade) into some pretty imaginative flicks.

Interestingly, this is another animation director doing this film. Andrew Stanton directed "Finding Nemo" and "WallE" prior while Brad Bird, the director of the new "Mission Impossible" film was the director of "The Iron Giant" and "The Incredibles."
