So I have a problem where I'm really cheap and for better or worse do pretty much everything myself. for the last match of the season I wanted to add weight to my rifle that was originally 12lbs. Problem is my rifle is on a first gen MDT LSS and there isn't a good way to add weight...
or is there???
So I filled the buffer tube with lead. this was great but the rifle was REALLY REALLY tail heavy...
Here is my solution!

New weight 22.5#!!!
the fins and nose cones were just for fun and to make the lead filled stainless tubes less ugly.
My rifle got lots of laughs at the match and I don't plan on keeping this stuff on, but man it worked like a champ! it actually came in handy on one stage where you had to alternate shots between a "ladder" and prone. Everyone else had to stow/deploy their bipod every time they moved but I was able to throw the rockets right on the rungs because they sit slightly lower of the barrel and forward of the bipod.
I hope some of you get a few laughs and are inspired to try something that might seem silly.
