I recently bought an LRP-07/LRI-20 chambered in 6.5 creedmoor with a 22" barrel, added a NightForce ATACR 7x35 and a dead air sandman L suppressor, and took it on a 2 day long range instruction course out to 1200 yards.
I was truly impressed with the precision, ease of use, low recoil, reliability, etc. Ran flawlessly without a single malfunction. You could shoot this thing 1000 rounds and not get fatigued. The adjustable gas block and tunable silent captured spring buffer are so nice. Trigger is crisp and around 2.5 lbs. I had the only gas gun there, but it had no problem keeping up with the bolt guns.
The side charging handle is so easy to use and smooth. Last year's rig was a Wilson Combat Super Sniper in 6.5, which is a great gun, but this is next level. It was well worth the buy in for me because I wasn't interested in trying to build a precision large frame that runs reliably, and was happy to pay the premium for an off the shelf package.
Having shot bolt rifles most of my life and only recently getting into AR shooting, I get the allure. There's just something fun about shooting these large frame precision gas guns, especially suppressed.
