The targets are set up to be the same dimensions as any of the targets that are commercially available, to be used with 8.5" x 11"; printer paper, and to use minimal ink. For the 4P 5 bull target, a portion of the edge can be folded and matched / stapled / taped to the other side - essentially making one large target.

Scores of all the short range competitions will sorted by the type of competition, distance, caliber, and sighting device used and compiled at month's end. Scores found in error can be corrected by the origninal creator of that month's thread.

A good source of tips, tricks, what worked, what didn't, rifle / ammo performance, thoughts, etc. Link:

Twisted, definately a bad time to gettting started with these comps, the ammo situation and all, i believe is taking a toll. great to see the kid shooting.

Agreed in the respect that I don't have others to friendly compete with month to month but I don't put much concern in what my score is compared to others. I am more concerned with my score compared to my score month's previous if that makes sense. It is nice to have some others though for the friendly competition aspect. And if someone has consistently high scores it's nice to know who to ask for pointers and advice. I enjoy shooting these none the less, even if there were 100 targets entered per month I'd still throw mine in the mix.

I've actually not had much problem with ammo but mostly due to luck. Few months ago a friend gave me half a box of SK to try and it worked, scored a brick from Midway shortly after, and about a month ago a few of us went in on a case of Wolf from one of the online suppliers. I'm sitting with a couple bricks on my desk and most of a brick in my .22 range bag so I'm ok right now.

My son actually enjoys the matches too even though he's not doing so hot. He asked if we could shoot it the other night, he refers to it as the "numbers" target, but it wasn't a new month so we just shot dots and steel in the yard. We will probably tackle our SH targets this weekend sometime.

At any rate, I enjoy them, that's all that really matters. Thank you for arranging them and such.
