So, we have decided to create 3 classes within BSLRPS and it will change our match weekend format. Here is what our schedule will look like.
First Saturday of the month. Open and free long range from 8am till noon. Range cold from noon to 1pm. 1pm we will start a 550 yard and 1000 yard paper matches. 10 rounds per target, unlimited sighters on clay pigeons, $10 per target, may purchase as many targets as you desire, pit work at 1000 yards will rotate between two groups, high score/most x's and smallest group. Classes below will be combined if no more than 3 shooters per class record score for the day. Guns will be weighed on MY scale at the range. We will pay out cash purse. This will run from 1-430pm.
Classes will be
AR limited, 223 or 308 only
AR Open, any AR, no restrictions
BA limited, any bolt action under 17#
BA tactical, any bolt action under 17# and with folding bipod and one bag
BA hunting, any bolt action under 11#
BA open, any of the below listed classes and no weight restriction
Sunday, we will have shooters meeting at 730 am. 8am we will start our normal practical match but will include a new division. We are tentatively calling it the ONG. It will use the same COF but the shooter can elect to use a nearby bench or shoot it prone. Time limit for this class will be 8 minutes, no movement, prep time is included with the 8 minutes, you can be squaded with a squad running the regular COF, entry fee will be the same, round count will be the same, same targets as the rest of the squad. The goal is to bridge the gap from the positional stages or stages that use a prop of some sort, moving deck, tank trap, tires, etc but yet allows the shooters to engage the same targets and experience the same difficulties but with more time and from prone or bench. We may or may not pay a cash purse for the ONG division. I have attached the COF.
So it will continue to be a busy weekend and look forward to seeing you guys out there. Mod
