NEW SHOOTERS WELCOME!!!

Doesn't cost anything, for fun and bragging rights, and we share beneficial information learned each month.

This is the monthly thread for posting scores for our monthly
SH MONTHLY RIMFIRE 25 & 50yd 4 POSITION COMPETITION
SH MONTHLY 50yd TACTICAL RIMFIRE COMPETITION
SH "WHAT BUGS ME" RIMFIRE COMPETITON

Try out the "Support Side" option for a twist in practice / training.

Please view the guidelines & rules for all the Short Range Competitions here:
http://www.snipershide.com/shooting/showthread.php?t=174882

Click link for Printable Targets:
http://www.snipershide.com/shooting/showthread.php?t=174855&p=2342454#post2342454
The targets are set up to be the same dimensions as any of the targets that are commercially available, to be used with 8.5" x 11"; printer paper, and to use minimal ink. For the 4P 5 bull target, a portion of the edge can be folded and matched / stapled / taped to the other side - essentially making one large target.

Scores of all the short range competitions will sorted by the type of competition, distance, caliber, and sighting device used and compiled at month's end. Scores found in error can be corrected by the origninal creator of that month's thread.

A good source of tips, tricks, what worked, what didn't, rifle / ammo performance, thoughts, etc. Link:

GOOD LUCK!

SHOOTERS:

For this month, (Deferred from May 2013 by "Hammertime") a fellow hider that makes a line ofholsters, J.ROTH HYBRID HOLSTERS
www.rothholsters.com has graciously stepped up to the plate to put up a holster as a prize to the winner of this month's 50YDP TRCmatch, to be shot from the PRONE position.

We've always used the honor system, and with something of value up for grabs, I hope this remains true this month.
As there is 1 prize:
1) any rimfirecaliber, scoped or non scoped, your choice, BUT TO BE SHOT FROM PRONE POSITION.
2) A PHOTO OF YOUR TARGET MUST ACCOMPANY YOUR SCORE POSTING.
4) 1 SCORE TO BE POSTED PER SHOOTER
5) any score posted after midnight EST 30 June 13 will not be counted for the holster.
6) The Hide and/or TOP PREDATOR are not responsible for any transactionsassociated with the ordering, payment, or delivery of this prize. Contact below directly after a winner is determined and intial PM contacting of both the winner and the supplier is made.
7) TOP PREDATOR or the maker of these holsters are prohibited from winning the prize, and if by chance one or the other are the winner, they relinquish claim to the prize.
Happy shooting and good luck!

Per a PM I've received:

"I've recently started making hybrid leather-kydex IWB concealmentholsters and figured in exchange for the information gleaned from here and theeffort that everyone else has invested providing targets and keeping track ofthe results, I could (should) give something back.

So, I'd be glad to provide a holster to any of the winners, however you see fit. I'm a relatively new maker and have a limited but growing inventory of weapons that I can make. But, if the monthly winner has a glock or Kahr (among others) I'd be in to ship one as a prize.

I guess we could just direct the winner to my website to pick what they wanted,or they could contact me directly if they wanted something custom or that I don't list (ex: I could make a kydex cheek riser in one of the camo's or carbon fiber if they didn't want a holster).

You can view his website here:
www.rothholsters.com

His ebay feedback can be viewed
here

And here is a sample of one of my holsters:

My son and I spent a couple hours on the rimfire range today and ended by each shooting the following targets.

MATCH: 50YTRCP CALIBER: .22LR

USER NAME: Twisted
SIGHT CLASS: Scope - Prone
RIFLE: Ruger 77/22 Allweather w/ SWR Warlock
AMMO: Federal Gold Medal

STAGE 1 10
STAGE 2 20
STAGE 3 10
STAGE 4 5
STAGE 5 0
TOTAL SCORE: 45

Match: 50YTRCP

Note: I shot stage 4 incorrectly obviously. I put 4 rounds in the 5 point circle instead of moving on. I misunderstood. Throw this who target/score out if it becomes an issue at all. I'm not stressed about it.

I haven't gotten to the range very much this month. Got a brand-new brick of Eley sitting here I haven't even opened.

My buddy and I planned to go out in the canyons early this am before it got hot, but fire restrictions nixed that, so we went to the public range. Shot over his Chrony with my .243 to clock some handloads, and shot a practice run through the tactical target, but only at 25 yds. It's much easier at 25yds! :D

But I only shot one set of targets for score, the 25yd 4psn. Probably should have put up some fresh targets and shot both at 50 as well. Oh, well.

Wind - not much, just light gusts from right to left. Temperature was about 100F by the time I packed up and left.
