From my 2016 bike trip... The best experience was the St. Lo breakout cemetery. My Norwich classmate was commandant there. It was basically empty when I went. The two of us walked it for hours. It was far more moving than the Normandy "Bus Tour" cemetery which was not as solemn as it should have been. Too many Chinese bus tour folks trying to find "Private Ryan's" grave... and stomping over anyone from Easy Company headstones... standing on them for selfies. Really. #@*&ing tourists.
