I've been lurking on these forums for a little while. My name is Tim. I'm in the mid-Atlantic right now but my company is moving me to Hawaii in the near future (I did it for the motorcycle riding, with the idea that I can move to a free state in a couple years).
I just put together my first bolt gun:
-Remington 700 SPS Tactical .308
-Badger Ordnance Rings + 20 MOA base
-Schmidt & Bender 5-25x56, P4F, Mil/Mil
-Harris bipod
-Timney trigger on the way (couldn't get my X Mark lighter than 6.5 pounds)
I really appreciate all the good information on this board. I was considering a custom action, but I ended up with a stock 700 because I'm anxious to get started and it's known to be bomb-proof. After I get a little time behind the trigger I'll get the action/bolt trued, get a new barrel, and drop it in a nice stock like a McM A5 and AICS.
