I just got done putting everything on my new rifle, now I need to save up for paint, what do ya say, paint it all multicam?

DPMS SASS 7.62x51
Nightforce 5.5-22x56 NP-R1 w/zero stop(thanks to Jay at sport optics)
Nightforce Unimount
GG&G Bi-pod
Eagle Industries stock pouch (holds 68in # torque wrench for mount)
Rat Grip thermo-moldable grip
JP Tactical muzzle brake

Got any other suggestions on what else I need to do on it?

Gorgeous rifle. I have one that it's long lost sister! I love these things! I'm going to do an OD/Black combo on mine because of the environment I'm in. If this is your SHTF rifle I'd go with something that matches your environment.

How does she shoot?

Re: Just Finished! I it needs paint

How did you get the scope to clear? I have a 5.5-22x50 NF with the NF 1.375" unimount on a POF 308 and with the BC cap there is very, very little clearance.

Re: Just Finished! I it needs paint

Great looking build ! MC would look killer but I'd have a hard time putting it on the Nightforce though, Maybe MC and black two tone.

Re: Just Finished! I it needs paint

If you plan on coating it yourself, then MC can be a tough one to take on for first time. Best bet would be to use an air cure based product.

Re: Just Finished! I it needs paint

The BC cap on the objective is very tight, but I can slip a sheet of paper between the rail and the cap.

Without the shade it has enough room, its just that 20moa cant in the mount I guess.

I will update as I continue to shoot, right now round count is just 80. I am just getting use to shooting gas guns so I can not be too critical on the gun at this moment. However the best I have gotten so far is one 1" group one 3/4" group and a 9/16" group (3 shot groups). I know that here on the Hide 3 shot groups don't count, but.... in my instruction here at a reputable training facility we have a 8 1/2 x 11 target that has 4 squares on it, we put the first round in the top left (to check cold/warm dirty, clean, and lubed first round strikes) Then 3 rounds each at the next 3 squares, so you get a 10 shot card. We then put these cards in a notebook and record the data on the card. This way we can look back to see what the rounds are doing, what our barrel likes and how the first round should act. This way we can dope the first round if need be, and then scrub it off for the next shots.

I will try some 5 round groups when I get past the 200 rd count, this is where most people claim a barrel is broke in.

I look forward to keeping everyone updated.

Thanks

I love the grip, I have them on both my glocks, ar-15 and now this rifle. The rat grip alows me to heat the material up and then essentially grip the gun. It molds itself to my hand. It feels solid when you grip it. You can see the videos of installation at www.ratgrip.com

How do you like that bipod?</div></div>

I love the bipod, by the time i configured the harris with a quick detach, rail adapter, and pod loc i could buy one with it all on it... so i did, only to find out too that the GG&G was great in all those areas except for the knob to tighten up the swivel. I replaced the knob with a pod loc anyways lol. Check out my GG&G bipod thread for a pic of the GG&G with the pod loc mounted

Re: Just Finished! I it needs paint

I'm curious. The front BUIS looks to be a gas block mounting version of a front sight. It's very tall looking. You sure it's the correct model to be rail mounted?
