It just came in today an I'm extatic about the gun(it is a lot darker than I thought it was going to be but that's good). Although I was soon to be let down because my scope rings won't work for the factory bases on my new gun. Unfortunently I won't be able to buy any because my rent is due this check as well as cable and a huge phone bill because my phone was lost and had to buy another one.

Anyways here is the new gun

Are all the barrels on the BTV like this?

Re: Just got my Mark II BTV!

Look into the EGW savage scope bases, they have a 0MOA and 20MOA version for your gun. There are 2 versions of the base, depending on the receiver. This is determined by measuring the ejection port or cross-referencing serial no's. If your port is ~1.66" you have the model 93 type receiver. If the port is smaller its the old MKII receiver. The scope base for the MKII will work with the tapped holes on the model 93 receiver, but the relief cut for the ejection port will not line up. *This is not an issue unless you are running a .17HMR or .22WMR. They go for around 30 bucks, if you have picatinny or weaver rings they will work with that base.

Good news pay pal didn't send me my money like I requested 3 months ago so I hopped on the interweb and got some cheap scope rings so I can at least use the day thing and the bipod that's under way
