So no one was killed , which is amazing .

These Maine police had a photo and a name and an address and a place of employment for the suspect they were looking for , and went heavy- full kit and rifles to a high school and arrested the wrong person, who’s name and photo and address did not match.
And the reason for. Swat raid on school grounds - stolen shoes and cologne. The person they were actually looking for was arrested days later at his place of employment without issue .

The kid who delivered pizza gets it right every time - and he never has a photo.

So maybe stealing shoes is a capital crime in Maine , if it’s bad enough to send SWAT to a high school you’d think they match the person with the photo before making their move . But they did get it on the second try so 50/50. And no one died so I guess not too bad .

Gets even better the Chief says “they would the same thing tomorrow and his boys did nothing wrong “.

Not only a terrifying statement but it’s gonna cost the city big money

Now it makes sense- sanctuary city . So they don’t use swat on invaders not even the murdering and rapists ones so to justify the budget and training costs they go after high school kids for shop lifting and if they arrest the wrong kid now and ten - I mean there is 5 black teen in the school so it would be very hard to match the picture and sing the song “one of these things is not like the other , one of these things is different “.

Aint gonna get no sympathy from someone like me about thieves and how they're treated. Thieves should be shot in the middle of the street like rabid dogs. Period. And yeah, I know it was the wrong guy in the story. I'm talking about treatment for the real guy.

Yep had they sent a swat team and they got the person in the photo, whose name was on the warrant I’d have no problem either .

I think the most troubling part is the Chief saying “we’d do the same thing tomorrow”

Instead of just admitting fault and maybe assigning someone on the tac team to make sure the guy matches the picture , nope they’d do the same thing tomorrow.

Well we’ve seen enough times how wrong address wrong person swat raids end .
