Which one? Raylon's ex ol' lady or Boyd's? They're both hot IMHO

Re: Justified

I love this show. I can't say anything other than if they keep to this format, and the way the show is written with Mr. Elmore Leonard's writing as a foundation, then I will watch every show and re-run they air.

More shows should be like this and not like some of the reality trash.

Re: Justified

Last night's season premiere was excellent. For those of you who DVR'ed, I won't put in any spoilers. Raylon is always entertaining to watch, but I can't help but love the Boyd Crowder character. Well-written, with a strange criminal's morality that guides his decisions. This is one of the best shows on TV.

Re: Justified

When they started advertising the show before the beginning of the first season and I found out that it was gonna be set in Harlan County Kentucky, I immediately set my DVR. I've watched every episode since. Of course it's obvious from the landscape that they're not really in Eastern Kentucky but it's still cool to hear them talk about all of those towns that are familiar to me. In the first episode they talked about being in Corbin which is about 10 miles from me. Harlan County is about an hour from me. It's definitely my favorite show!

Do you get the impression from the terrain that it's actually shot there? For example Reno 911 isn't shot in Reno, NV. If it is, it might be fun to go down and see if you can get a spot as an extra. I managed to plant myself in a few movies (The Alamo & Cheer Up) that were shot in TX while at UT just by showing up to calls for extras.

Re: Justified

Four episodes this season and Raylan ain't killed nothing yet. I want my money back.

I think they might have figured they were stretching the bounds of credulity that he'd killed so many folks in the first two episodes and didn't get subpoenaed to testify before Congress.

The pilot was shot in western PA. The rest have been filmed in La-La Land.

I found one reference that claims Marshall Givens killed 16 and wounded three in the first two seasons. His average definitely is off this season.

Did you watch the season premier? If you did and missed the last minute, then you missed out on the killing.

The only thing that looks familiar to me is when the show is first coming on and they are showing what looks to be an arial view of Harlan while they are playing the intro song. I don't think any of the shows are actually filmed anywhere in Kentucky. The terrain and vegetation give it away. Sometimes they will be driving along supposedly in Harlan and the road will be straight and flat and you can see alot of flat ground around them with maybe a mountain in the distance. There ain't no flat ground in Harlan County! Looks like a much dryer climate than Eastern Kentucky. I wish it was filmed around here though, hell I'd just go hang around until I accidentally got filmed in a scene! I'd wear a snipershide t-shirt so yall could see me! LOL

Okay, bear with me but when asking how many shots he fired (16 or 17) that would imply raylan carries a 9mm, when in fact he carries a .45 glock..... Oh shit, i'm paying to much attention again......

Well that sucks! It's probably shot in some studio in Hollywood. When we were extras in the Alamo they would only let us in if we were wearing period looking garb and for Cheer Up we had to be wearing UT colors.

Re: Justified

Harvest a pair of freaking kidneys from a live person, then make them buy them back or else they get sold to the "businessman" in Chicago.....

I noticed that too.

Have they ever said what he carries in the show?

Yeah, in season one, after one of his shootings, i want to say episode 2 or 3, he has to relinquish his sidearm to art as evidence. They ask him what he's going to get next and the reply is another ".45 glock"

I figured as much. I came in on season 2. I had planned on buying season 1, but the local video store had a used season 1 set for $20, whereas Wal-Mart had it for $20, new.

Seems like they forgot the specifics while they were doing the commercial, but it's still a great show nonetheless.

I caught the new episode last night. I thought it was odd, at first, that Dewey's incisions were on the front, and that attention to detail proved to be correct later on in the show.

It was awesome when Raylan shot the girl.

What she said, when she was shot, wasn't surprising either.
