So like many on this forum , I've bought , built and sold a lot of AR's . I'm nobody special. Just someone with above average trigger time on the 5.56 . But not as much as many here. That being said, you kinda get used to what you know. You build a gun with quality parts at a cost of $1500 - 2k and you get a feeling for how it's going to shoot. After all, it's all the same shit. But then I decided to try the KAC upper route. Dropped a pinned 14.5 Mod2 on an Aero Precision Enhanced M4-E lower. F'ing-A its smooth. Follow up shots are real fast. Faster than my BCM 14.5 middy - and that's a soft shooter. So I'm finally a believer. Not going back to regular mil spec. It's worth the coin.

Yes, they are smooth & reliable & eat any ammo I've fed mine, from reg 223 PMC Gold to 5.56 to various handloads in all bullet weights.

I have 2 MOD 2's with 16" barrels & a MOD1 LPR with the heavier Krieger barrel. All have run perfectly since day one.

This was actually a little test to see how the experience was dealing with KAC. Now I have the urge to go the SR-25 CC route. 😎

There’s an opposite thread on M4C right now.
Yes so I've been reading through that thread. It's pretty long. I think there's a bit of heightened expectations that were not satisfied based upon his perception of what the rifle should be. I understand it's a very expensive rifle . But as many have stated you're paying for the engineering that goes into the gun that keeps it running through the worst conditions. I decided to go the upper route also because I know KAC isn't known to produce the very best trigger , or safeties. It's lowers are feature rich for sure, but there are better triggers out there in my opinion.

So I put the parts in there that I knew would satisfy my expectations. As for the recoil issues he is describing, don't know much about that . All I have to say is I was running my 14.5 with the SF WARDEN And I could barely tell a difference over the SOCOM break. .....

Just an FYI, KAC triggers are among the very best. Not sure who told you that but they are right above a SSA and right bellow a Hi Speed NM.

Zero reason to ever change them.

Edit - I'll change my original statement. And say that KAC triggers are not to my liking.
I appreciate your opinion on KAC triggers but no one told me anything. I Made that statement from my own experience behind at least three SR-15s in the past. I prefer the SSA, it's just a matter of personal opinion.
