First let me start by saying this is my first post. Been a long time reader and lurker but new member. I’ve been offered this rifle in a trade deal and looking to see if someone more knowledgeable than I can really put a value on it. He claims it to be a knights emc upper with dimpled barrel and a knights lower parts kit inside a lmt lower topped with a kahles k624i. Any info and comments on value would be greatly appreciated. And if anybody knows a solid value for this type of setup how long would it take to move it if it turns out I don’t like it. (Typically a bolt gun fan)

@gawaterfowler, there’s a KAC ACC new in box on the ODT for $4200. Unless you’re getting a killer deal, I’d skip it and get a complete rifle. JMO

Gotta agree, for several reasons. I have a newer 20" and couldn't be happier with it. I wanted the M110 but they stopped making 'em right when I got mine. Now I'm glad, it's actually a better rifle in most respects.

A few modifications to make it "mine" but you get the idea. Base rifle goes for around $4k.

I have seen the EMC's listed from anywhere from 5000 to 7500. like anything, It all depends on what its worth to the buyer. I have always liked the ECC, and had the opportunity to trade my ACC plus some cash for an ECC a couple months back, gave it some thought and decided to pass. Considering what i could get a new Mil gun for, I would go 5k for a factory EMC/ECC factory

As for the KAC/LMT Combo. there was pretty sweet M110K1 Clone built off of an LMT Lower and i think that it sat at 3200 for a while. a few months back. I was soo tempted, but decided i wanted the ACC

While the EMC/ECC's are great guns and are quite desirable, but the ACC/PC are better guns.

Agree with what you're saying. I'd probably go 6-6.5 for an ECC but like you said, that is a desirable item to me.

The benefit of EMC/ECC's is that their value will only increase over time, like any of KAC's contract items that are no longer produced. Now there is obviously a ceiling for that, but old MK11 bringbacks can fetch 20 thousand for example.
Now the CC/PC (formerly ACC/APC) are great improvements on the design and considered to be better guns, if that is your only concern, then they are the obvious choice, but it's hard not to at least consider resale value when your paying KAC prices.
If you hunt and are quick on the draw you can find used ACCs/APCs for sub 4000.

I would work your value estimates around what the actual KAC parts (upper) are worth. If an EMC, agreed with the above at 4k or so, perhaps more.

A rattle-canned LMT lower fixed up to look like a KAC won't be worth too much.

I would also do what you can to confirm that it is actually an EMC upper. There are a lot of EC uppers that have been coated and ball-mill dimpled to look like EMCs floating around.

I was going to post a question similar this morning. I have a factory taupe EC with 20 rounds fired I am considering selling. Excellent if not almost new condition.

Nice looking rifle. Were these late release ECs? I do not remember seeing them come out. Some of the later ECs came with the current bolt/carrier group (carbon cutter, dual ejector) which is pretty cool.

ECs have become desirable and have appreciated in value substantially since they were sold. Many have been turned into EMC clones or used as base builds for an M110 clone. This ironic considering they were sold, with the ER, as KAC's "budget" line at close to OBR prices.

I have seen used ECs bring $4400-4500 recently, and imagine this one would bring more than $5k if you had the paperwork to back up its provenance.

Not a recent, just been sitting a long time. I am local to KAC, actually have 6 SR-25’s. Just debating on whether I want to keep this or move it for something else. Here’s a couple recent pick ups. Kac ACC & APC

I won’t knock it as I don’t have it in hand to judge it. Being the work he went through to try to KAC a lmt lower makes me a little skeptical on the true EMC upper.

That said, lmt makes quality products, I own a few MWS’s and they are awesome, but to swap out the LPK is pretty unnessary as other than the KAC markings they are the same kit.

Even if it is a EC that was dimpled or rebarreled, if it was done properly by a KAC armorer it probably shoots well. Is the barrel chrome lined???? That’s also a tell tail of authenticity of an EMC. But it could be a rebarreled EC still.

From a collector standpoint I would say no, HELL NO! From a shooter stand point maybe, if I knew the guy well, but what are you forgoing in the trade? I tend to stay very far from franken’guns like this. I’m not a snob but for the cost of these id rather spend a little more and get a true factory gun.

Even the EC which some call the KAC BARGAIN, which is a little silly as I know people with more than 15k round counts and still rocking them in hard use!!!! So if it’s a dimpled EC trust me its still a shooter.
