Is it worth it to use the Triple Tap with my NT4 or should I just sell that SOB and use the newest generation NT4 mount from KAC? i have both, dont notice any difference as a can mount.

ive heard the stories of non-warranty of NT4 can issues if you do it with the triple tap mount. BUT, i also have heard its only really an issue with a high rate of FA fire. Which i dont have a giggle switch on my ARs.... yet.

Is the Triple Tap too valuable to use as a can mount?

bringing this up again because i went and shot the triple tap mounted with my NT4. shot well, no booms. but it may be too valuable to hang on to. from what i am seeing over the last 2 years they are going for stupid prices. saw someone sold one on here for in the thousand dollar range.

If you want to mainly run it suppressed any kind of brake designed to handle recoil/muzzle rise is completely useless.

Get whatever muzzle device allows the suppressor to mount and be done with it.

The triple tap or MAMS, with a suppressor over it, perform exactly the same as a basic birdcage muzzle device, assuming they will accept the suppressor.

Brakes are better than flash hiders as I understand it because the brake acts as a sacrificial blast baffle taking some abuse off the can

depends on the design of the FH. Anything hanging off the end of the muzzle with a can on it gets the brunt of the blast from the rifle.

heres what i usually run my NT4 mounted on .

m4QD Flashhider mount - this is what comes when you by an NT4 QDSS can

id argue that the Flashhider takes more "abuse" as its allows more of the gas to spread out through its openings. we could get into large openings versus small and velocity etc, but again, the answer is "it depends."
