I have two Kahles 624i's, really like them both.
One with the MSR on a .300 WM that I absolutely love. Excellent hunting reticle that have taken elk and deer, son took a moose.
The other is a skmr3. I had it in a 22CM for coyotes. The skmr3 reticle with the floating center dot is not a good hunting reticle at all compared to the floating center dot on the MSR. Literally half the size and not usable at low magnification period.
The skmr3 now lives on a .20-223 Improved for PDs.
I am torn between the Kahles 318i with the MSR/MSR 2 or the Nightforce NX8 4-32 to go back on the 22cm which I use for coyotes.
I haven't had the opportunity to look through either one.
Those that have/had experience with the Kahles 318i and the NF NX8 4-32 mil xt/ mil c/or mil r, please let me know your thoughts on usable reticle at low magnification in a hunting situation.
Thanks
