Got a question for the guys that have the new Kahles 525i. Have you seen any issues with the illuminated reticle? I just got one and it doesn't work, and yes I changed the battery. ;) Even the old one checks good with the meter. I'm going on a mule deer hunt in a few weeks so I guess I'll send it in for repair when I get back form the hunt. Just curious if this is a fluke or they are having issues.

We haven't had anyone call yet with issues but things are bound to happen. SONA will take good care of you.

I purchased a Kahles 525i in February 2024 and the illumination does not work. I came on the first couple of times and then nothing. I spent a lot of time putting my PRS rifle together from scratch waiting for parts. Now I don't want to take the scope off and send it in for a fix.

I wouldn't imagine, but I'm not a comp shooter. I would figure most of those type matches would be held during solid daylight hours only for liability purposes.
Yes, its true. I wanted illumination on the Kahles because I first bought a Leopold Mark 5 5-25 and had difficulty visualizing the reticle well. The Kahles SKMR4 reticle is fantastic, I can see it well. No illumination required.

The SKMR3 and SKMR4 are excellent, and one of my top favorites, as well. Both of my K624i's are CCW/RSW w/ SKMR4 MIL reticles, and my K318i is CCW/RSW w/ SKMR3 MIL reticle. SKMR3 and SKMR4 are very similar. I run the K318i on my main hunting rifle, and it's a wonderful hunting scope. It's not super heavy like the 624 and 525's are, and the ultra-short and compact length is nice, too. IMO, it's the ultimate hunting scope for sub-1000 yard hunting.
