Just wanted to let any one of you Hiders that is thinking about getting a Karsten Cheek Rest, to go ahead and get one! It is snug on the HS Precision stock and I like it that way. I can get it all the way up and all the way down but it does take some pressure. I understand that you can boil it in water to soften it up and make it easier to slide around, but I figured that was a bad idea. I feel that it will assist in maintaining tightness during recoil (although I'm sure it wouldn't come lose anyhow). The kydex is super thick and the finish is top notch. Absolutely no sharp edges to mess you up while shifting about. Took all of 10 minutes to install, seriously.

I'm used to using a stock pack but wanted a more solid cheek piece that gave me a little more height. I went to the range to see if it changed my shooting and nope. I shoot just as well with the Karsten, it's just a bit more comfortable (sight wise) and gives me a very repeatable sight picture.

Just thought I'd share what I think it a quality piece of kit for anyone that doesn't have a stock with an adjustable cheek rest already.

Thank you for the kind words. I'd love to see the Loggerhead all set up on your HS stock. Those seem really nice.

Just need to do a little touch up. Then send out to a place to get it hydro dipped.

NICETRY,
Fantastic looking stock piece!!! It's going to look great hydrodipped.

super_poot,
Thank you sir. I have to admit that I am one of the lucky ones that has a bone stock rem 700 SPS tac barrel and action that is a tac driver. With my reloads (175grn SMK, win brass, CCI #200 primers, 43.5grn RL-15, COAL 2.810") I can print .25-.5 MOA five shot groups all day if I do my part.
