I bought this as part of a standard MPA 6.5BA and shot the 120 rounds of 6.5CM through it. I had some extraction problems then, but we're fixed when replacing the extractor spring.
I wanted a new prarie dog/ coyote gun so I sent it off to WTO. I have not shot the 6.5cm after receiving this back from WTO.
I have had issues with the 223. I get FTF every now and then with factory Hornady 223 ammo (frontier, black, ELD). I have had zero issues with hand loads using 450 primers and PPU factory match line or cheap bulk (300 of the rounds fired were PPU, 500 were handloads using Lapua/varget/69smk/ 450's) . Lowest SD I was able to get was high teens to mid 20's.
Hornady eldm factory's (when it did fire) were high 20's.
This all leads me to believe (as well as WTO) that it is a problem in the ignition side. I have tried a TT Special and Diamond. 510U might be the fix, different 223 bolt might be the fix, although, I haven't heard of any problems with TT's and haven't seen anything weird on the bolt body.
I have talked to WTO about this and they said they would gladly take a look at it and should be able to diagnose the problem quickly and cheap.
The 6.5CM barrel is a match chamber and 0.160 freebore.
This means it will jam factory 140ELD-M's. 147ELD-M's are about .01 off lands, 143eldx kiss, and Berger 140 factory loads jump .03
I have not shot the 6.5CM barrel since back from WTO but have verified measurements and had zero issues firing with the standard faced bolt prior.
Wear on side of action from brass kicking out
6.5cm barrel has rubbing marks half way up
Brake on 6.5 shows use
223 barrel, has some wear on it as well. Thread protectors are used on both, all cosmetic.
Standard bolt face/body
223 body (forgot to take pics of face, will update later)
