How does the range card derive the data to populate the various range increments? Specifically, if I use my linked terrapin and laser a target at one range does the Range Card re-populate the incremental ranges using the data from that one episode of laser acquisition?

Thanks in advance for any insight. Kestrels long suit is not voluminous user documentation (g)

The range card just populates dope for the interval (25, 50, 100) you choose. It’s basically just a dope card.

The target card will populate on specific distances you input. Be it manually or via LRF.

Thanks, I got that part but my question is where does it obtain the raw data to derive the yardage inputs. Obviously which gun selected is part of it as is also probably some currently available enviro data. But it has to get some ballistic data somewhere that it extrapolates into forming the El and Windage at the various yardages.

I’m not sure what you’re asking?

It takes the environmental data that it’s currently measuring (or measured before you locked it), along with your selected BC or CDC with your selected muzzle velocity and uses the internal software to give you your solution.

You answered my question. Uses MV and BC that are in the gun library. Thanks
