First, I am not, I am not desiring to start any discussion/aka argument ref whether or not you factor in or not when working the wind. (spinD:cool:)

When using the unit, does it give you the wind solution factoring in the information or does it simply give you what the deviation is?
As I understand, it does?

Also, as I understand, the wind correction is based off of the target capture and the wind capture, factoring in the wind angle read? (assuming the unit was held correctly to face the wind) Meaning it's factoring the "wind value" automatically, not giving you data to then "manually" calculate.

I appreciate it, just want to be sure as I use this more.

Mark

vCor - Vertical Coriolis Correction is the amount of the elevation solution attributed to the Coriolis effect.

hCor - Horizontal Coriolis Correction is the amount of the windage solution attributed to the Coriolis effect.

SpnD - Spin Drift is the amount of the windage solution attributed to the spin drift.

I’f you have them turned on, they are already factored in to the solution. You should see your dope change when you turn them off.

Wind correction is based off either a) target and wind capture or b) manual input of wind direction.

Okie, thank you. So I need to check them to see if they are on or off, not sure what the default is. I recently did an update and it may be back to the factory setting, had to input all of my gun data as it was gone.

SPin D is on, don't see an option for the Coriolis

Coriolis - leave latitude at 0 or 1 = off

Letting it use your current position = on

I found this as I didn't know how to find it, now I know why I couldn't find it. So, right now, I'm at 40, if I leave it, it will be factored in, if changing to "0" or "1" It takes it out? Guess no harm in leaving it then?

You can turn it off. Kind of. Simply set your latitude to 0, and set your firing direction to perfectly north.

If you’re finding your dope works with it on, go for it. If not, turn it off.

Most guys I know run it off for +/- 1k yd shooting and in

Gotcha, I did change mine to 27, no idea why it was on 40? Even in Va. it's not that number. You are right, it was .03 at 628 yards-no way I can figure that in with wind reading and error.
I appreciate the help sir!

Oh-that video of Frank is funny-drinking the spinD-had to mention it:D

I shut off ff spin drift but utilize Coriolis.
it’s so small that iteasily seems to get overshadowed by wind, shooter and other crap going on.
Spin drift predictions definitely seemed on the overly strong side.
