Stupid, stupid question. Playing with my new Kestrel, had to adjust the elevation/altitude by maybe 100ft or so. I wanted to make sure and see if I needed to adjust the humidity and what not, or should it be right from the factory, meaning close enough? I know you have to wait until it decides to settle, but curious on others experiences. The thing is so cool, and am hoping to use it Monday.

Some think the Kestrel has altitude measurement, but it does not. The meter measures station pressure for ballistic calculations. If you want altitude you need to go into the weather side of the meter and enter the correct barometric pressure and the meter will calculate altitude or enter altitude to get a calculated barometric pressure. Neither altitude nor barometric pressure are used in the ballistic calculation.
