Range Report Kestrel Crosswind feature

Have y'all had luck inputing crosswind data, as calculated by a Kestrel, into ballistic calculalators? Baiscally, letting the Kestrel do the angular calculation?
I'm curious to see how it will work, and intend to give it a shot next time out. I figured I'd see what your experiences might be, as well.

its ok but its not deffinitive.

What you do is hold your kestrel in the direction of your target and set that as your point of aim. You then point the kestrel into the direction of the wind and based on where your holding the unit vs where the compass says the point of aim is, it calculates crosswind value for you.

Handy if you input full force wind values, ie 3 or 9 oclock.

Depending on conditions, most of the time I dont dial in wind, as its always changing. If wind is pretty constant and I feel it will remain that way for a significant time I will then make wind adjustments on my scope... or if there is a minimum value wind on the day I will often dial in with that. So if its blowing a constant 5mph, but on occasion jumps to a max of 10mph, I will use a 5mph input on my ballistics calc and use that figure at said distance... If the value differs from this I will use hold overs.
