Just finished this piece for a friend of mine. I love KG. I regret ever spending a dime on Cerakote, at least for my purposes.

Imo yes. Sprays like lacquer thinner. Tough. Can be touched up. Cheaper. 5x shelf like.

Above colors are:

Deep flat black
Micro blue
Magpul stealth gray

Looks awesome!!! I'm a Duracoat guy myself but in the end it's all just "paint" despite the hype of some brands.

Been using KG Gunkote for a few years.
Fantastic product. Great selection of colors.( They have a color that duplicates bluing that is so close you almost cant tell)
Easier to use than Cerakote. Non catalyzed so any left over can go straight back into the container. less expensive also...
Still have to bake it for a full cure.
Personal opinion but from what I have observed I believe Cerakote is a bit tougher, but the colors and selections are better with Gunkote.
