Kimber 82's from CMP

I did a search and only found a single topic on them regarding putting glass on one.

Anyone tried these suckers out? How do they rate compared to the 40-x?

Worth the $600 for a brand new one from CMP?

Also, take a look at the recent thread here on the Hide regarding Kimber optics.

My 82-G shoots real nice, thank you, and that's why I'm going with glass so as to reach out a little further.

Most I have talked to are dissatisfied with the accuracy considering the price.....and I have talked to SEVERAL owners. Not a happy bunch.

I got two from the CMP when they sold them for $150 for the used ones. I am pleased at that price (no sights but I put scopes on them anyway).

I can see where $600 even including the sights and being new would not be considered a great bargain by some with the performance I have gotten. Good but not "Oh My God!" great.

I had one. Cool rifle. Not super accurate and not a basis for a precision trainer in my opinion. I sold it.
