I have an 84M longmaster classic that my wife loves to shoot. Anyway I havent had many problems with the rifle until Sat's shooting session. I loaded up 200 rounds a while back using CCI BR-4 primers since that's the only small rifle benchrest primers I could find. Well out of the 20 times we tried to fire the rifle only 13 of them went off. The first time it didnt go off worried me so we figured hangfire, then jiggled the bolt handle a bit to see if that would do it and still nothing. Well once we got that one out it had small dimples on the primers like the pin had barely hit it. moved on and it happened again and again here we went through the getting it out. Then a few rounds later it did it again. This point I was getting irratated. We were shooting 3 223 rifles, My new Rem 700 223, Colt HBAR 223, and Kimber longmaster 223. The other 2 guns had no issues with 50 or so rounds on each gun. I stopped at 20 on the kimber and packed it up.

There is a allen head screw on the underside of the bolt and a screw head in the back of the firing pin. Could this screw be loosening off? I have around 400 rounds on this rifle, mostly Amer Eagle Varmint ammo. but also a bunch of reloads with no issues. Right now I am leaning towards hard primers or something fishy with the firing pin.
