Just finished setting up and shooting the new Kimber 8400 Tactical.
Beautiful rifle.

Saddled it with the HD Razor Vortex scope and was drilling holes consistantly once it was zeroed in.

Very impressed with the Kimber rifles.

Re: Kimber 8400 Tactical

Kimber makes some very reliable, accurate, and durable weapons. Not too much info on the rifles, they look nice. Good to see your making progress with one. One thing a lot of guys in my area do say is their price tag reflects their pride in their weapons.

LOL I just spit up on my keyboard....

I have had hands on 3 examples of Kimbers best shot at a tactical rifle and can tell you this is far from the truth! Throw a decent bedding job in the mix then you have something. I have a few Kimber rifles (84M and 8400 classic/super america/longmaster/etc) and the ones I have in wood stocks have beutiful bedding. But for some reason the same guy isnt bedding the tacticals as far as when the 2 examples of 300WM rifles my friend and I recieved.

Good luck with your new stick though, once I got the worms out of mine it is a very usefull LR rifle with a great action.

BTW I think CDI makes a bottom metal for the 8400 308, he had an 8400 308 for sale a while back with his DBM on it.

Re: Kimber 8400 Tactical

The HD is in EBR-2 MRAD.

I just completed a long range precision course where the other person on the course was running a Blaser and a S&B.

The S&B optics were slightly superior but at half the price the HD was incredibly close. I prefered my reticle setup.
