Being offered one of these in a trade. Always like my Kimber 1911 but never shot much of their bolt action rifles. Just wondering on the thoughts of them?

Not this exact gun but same model. Only difference is the one I'm interested in doesn't have a rail on the bottom and instead has a single sling swivel?

Stay. The. Hell. Away.

You will not be happy if you do this. Kimber and Christensen have cult like followings and their rifles look feature packed but don’t shoot and function properly.

Those folding Manners stocks are discontinued now, there's non-zero value just in that. If you have a need for that capability, and are willing to send the thing in to a competent gunsmith and spend one or two grand to have some of the likely issues fixed, then it could be a good way to get into a folding Manners.

If you don't have a deep, burning desire for a folding Manners, then yeah, I'd probably pass. All paths to folding Manners are expensive now, but this one DOES seem like extra steps.

No. I think they were built off the larger 8400 action. Pretty accurate guns, but not much for after market support. I like the 84m action.

The official name of the rifle is the Kimber 8400 Advanced Tactical II. So they are accurate but no aftermarket support?

I had heard that they are stupidly overpriced. The trade in question would mean that the Kimber would set me back about $1300 USD in Canadian Canuck Coins.

Depends on if you like the crf of the kimber I'd guess. If someone offered it to me for $1,300 I'd jump on it. I'm convinced the majority of the accuracy complaints against the accuracy are people struggling to shoot ultralight rifles. I've owned several over the years and they've all shot well.
This reflects my own experience as well. I’ve owned two kimber 8400 tactical rifles and they both shot amazing

I found the same, ultra light rifles are hard to shoot, your technique needs to be spot on.

I've never seen a kimber rifle that didn't shoot well. Of course, I've never seen a christensen rifle that didn't shoot well either, including the 5 I have now or the 3 I've traded off. I think people suck, and the rifles get the blame.

That’s what I thought when you recommended these pos
You must not know much about me. You sound like you're looking for a fight. If you are, I'm the motherfucker you're looking for. I'll lace up your clown shoes for the crowd. You made your uneducated piss soaked opinion clear, now if you want to continue down this path, then I'll assume you knew what you were signing up for. Fuck off for your own good.

You’re not going to do a thing about it. Christensen are dogwater guns

You're confused, I don't give two shits what you think about Christensen rifles. Your opinion couldn't be more irrelevant. Im not christensen's champion either, out here fighting for their good name. I couldn't care less about that. What you are in an insolent douchebag who isn't content to just state your opinion and move on. You've chosen to engage me. You've chosen to pick a fight with me. You arent by chance from Maury county TN are you? If so, we are neighbors, and should continue this conversation in person. I find that internet badasses are really humble people in person.

I worked at the Christensen Arms warranty centre here in Canada. So I've seen first hand any issues the CA rifles have. I will say that they did have SOME issues. Not every gun. But 99% of them seemed to have shot well. I've owned a lot of CA rifles and loved them all except one. They seemed to have an issue with their magnum calibres as those were the ones I mostly seen in need of warranty work for accuracy issues. We would replace a barrel and they shot perfect. Like I said they were about 1%. Their FFT line had a recall due to issues with their stocks but that was manufacturing error.
