FOR SALE:
2003 Kitamura MyCenter IIIxi 4 axis cnc milling center.
Features:
-New 15k rpm spindle was replaced by Concept Machine Sales in 2016. (factory Kitamura service center) (CAT40 Taper)
-Upgraded to 4 axis in 2017 by Concept Machine Sales. Tsudakoma RNE-160 rotary installed
-FANUC 16im control, "Nano Machine" high-speed machining function active.
-30 tool side hung ATC
-Through Spindle Coolant
-Chip conveyor
-Oil Skimmer
- 1 gig Extended Memory Drive with CAT V cable communications and legacy RS232 port
-220V, 3 phase, 60amp service
-Custom made/ground Sub plate (AR500 steel) installed to offset rotary and retain almost the full work envelope of the machine. (this cost me $4,000)
-The approximate weight is 13,000lbs
-Machine is under power for demo.
-Comes with a sizeable quantity of Kitamura-specific tool holder pull studs.
-Kitamura machines feature box way construction, making them a very solid/robust piece of equipment. This one has never had an issue making good parts or holding tolerance. A wireless bar ball test was done on the machine before purchasing in 2016. At that time, it tested extremely well.
-Now, the "bad":
The cam drive for the automatic tool changer is inoperable. Talking with techs suggests that the cams inside the drive assembly have failed. The long and short of this is that it's around a $7,500 cost to have a service tech come on-site and perform the repair. The machine WILL NOT successfully execute a tool change in its current status. It is presently locked in the tool #10 position.
An annoyance, but not the end of the world as it's relatively easy to program around this as a temporary fix. (M00 followed by a T10 with G43/G41 values edited to a subsequent tool number gets you by with the understanding that you just manually exchange tools)
This machine books for around $30,000 in a 3 axis configuration. (based on eBay listings) The addition of the Tsudakoma rotary was a $36,000 add-on in 2017.
Priced to sell at $15,000.00 OBO.
The buyer will be responsible for rigging/transport. Cash/Cert Bank Check only, and all sales are final. No returns, No warranty. This is an AS-IS sale.
