I am think about what I want to pair my noveske and larue upper with. This is my first AR rifle and would like something of good quality but would like good value as well. Do you think the KA SR-15 would be something I should be looking at? It seems a fully loaded lower can be bought for a decent price. Any hands on experience or advice would be great too. Thanks guys

If you're talking about the SR-15 E3 lower I say go for it. The ambidextrous controls are really nice.

The only downside to them is that there are a few non-standard parts on them and once you become familiar with them other AR-15 lowers feel lacking.

If it's one of their pre-E3 lowers I'd say it's no better or worse than any other mil-spec forged lower.

I guess that's what they're calling it now (E3 is just what they're calling the bolt).

If you're getting a good deal I'd highly recomend it, for my tastes it's a big step up from the old AR reciever.

I have a KAC SR-15 complete rifle and I'm very happy with it. I have not put it on a scale but it feels noticeably lighter than my other 16" M4 profile AR's. The barrel and URX rail must be the deference. It's light and fast. Also, I like the 2 stage KAC trigger as well.

Yes the SR-15 IWS has a light profile barrel which makes it light. Very handy indeed.

To the original poster, if you can get a complete IWS lower for around $700 I'd be all over that.
