KOWA TSN-82SV & Viper HD Spotting Owners Inside

Hi Guys ...

I'm looking for some feedback on these two Spotting Scopes ...

I can't find very many, if any, reviews on the KOWA TSN-82SV and only see where a couple guys have gotten the Viper HD Spotting Scopes but not a lot on info ...

I want to use this scope primarily for long range shooting but will occasionally take it with my wife out on a hike for birding and spotting other wildlife ...

I can't comment on either of the scopes you are looking at, but I do own the Vortex Razor. Granted it is probably more than you want to spend, but it's a great scope and the clarity is amazing.

For a good low down honest scoop on these scopes, call Scott @ Liberty Optics. I believe he handles both lines and will give you an honest, no B.S. opinion. Doug or Neil @ CamerlandNY would also be good to talk to and they'll treat you right.

If it were me, I'd go with the Vortex, just because of their great customer service. They will do what it takes to make you happy.

Keep an eye out on the for sale section here on the hide (optics for sale) and also look on SWFA's sample list - that's where I picked up my Razor for several hundred off new price. Once I received it, I'd have sworn it was new in the box.

You're on the right track. I'd highly recommend getting a scope with HD glass too. I could be mistaken, but I don't think the Kowa your considering has the better glass.....?
