KRG W3 and AW mag "bump"

I have a CDG in a W3 and use AW mags only (no experience with AICS). When inserting the mags, they tend to get hang up on/bump into a little extended part of the frame part of the chassis in the front section of the magwell just behind the front action screw (I hope that made sense). Once I wiggle the mag or better said, tilt the mag slightly backwards, she goes past it and inserts for another 1/4 inch or so and locks perfectly into place.

Has anyone experienced this issue and maybe found a solution (other then tilting it slightly when inserting it)? Does anyone make any inserts/dowels for this magwell (could not find any on KRG website) to tilt and guide the magazine past the hump instead of bumping into it? Alternatively, can I safely bevel it a little without ruining it for other types of magazines and would that fix it noticeably or am I wasting time and potentially damage my chassis for no reason?

Having you tried moving the forend rearwards (trigger guard can also be moved fore and aft) for magazine fit?

Yes, as far rear as possible. Unless I am missing something.

Additionally I have the aluminum trigger guard with adjustable mag latch installed. That should however not affect the front part of the mag well, which is where the interference happens.

Trigger guard can also be moved rearwards which would allow forend to be moved even farther rearwards. The two combined moved rearward may allow the clearance needed (as opposed to moving just one). You need to remove the action in order to move the trigger guard fore/aft.

If moving both trigger guard and forend rearwards doesn't provide enough clearance, check before you modify the chassis is to see whether or not you have an AX mag instead of AW. AIAX mags are similar to an AIAW mag except for a front locking lug. The front locking lug in the AX mag could be flattened to clear the protrusion if that is the source of interference.

I think I got it figured out.

The sliding of the trigger guard as KRG advertises, I don't see it. There is some movement when the screws are loose, however, the holes on the chassis and the holes on the trigger guard need to be aligned for the action screw to pass trough.

The 6 (or 8 screws) to loosen allowing for sliding of the front guard in its entirely (enclosed fore end in my case) does not do much either for the same reason.

However, the magwell part and the 2 associated screws did allow for a significant amount of sliding. I did however not realise this until I removed the grip panels as they were restricting any movement of that part. I removed with sand paper a tiny amount of the front part of the grip panels to allow for some space for the magwell to slide.

While all parts removed and disassembled, I slightly bevelled the bottom of the "hump" in the chassis just to smoothen it again and together with the sliding of the magwell it did the trick. Then mag now inserts straight and locks right into place without hitting anything while getting there.

I will attach a picture in case another "slightly challenged enthusiast" much like myself needs some detailed guidance.

The triggerguard on krg will move back a smidge. The rear action screw hole in triggerguard is slightly elongated and the button head screw that is accessed from inside inlet has a slot to facilitate moving. It sounds like you got it figured out, and I have had to lightly sand on the grip panel front edge, just can't remember why now.
