The SRF is a battery operated Laser Rangefinder (LRF) with integrated Visible and Infrared (IR) Aim Laser as well as an IR Illuminator. The SRF's LRF is used to obtain accurate ranges to targets from 30m out to 2,000m. Under favorable atmospheric and environmental conditions, it is possible to obtain ranges out to 3,600. The Visible Aim and illumination provides for active target acquisition in low-light and close quarters combat situations without the need for night vision devices. The IR Aim and Illumination lasers provide for the active, covert target acquisition in low light ot complete darkness when used in conjunction with night vision devices. The SRF can be used as either a handheld device or can be mounted to equipment with a MIL-STD-1913 or STANAG 4694 rail. The SRF is a ruggedized system designed for operation in extreme environments. |
