Hey guys

So here is my first set of load development data and I decided to try a
ladder test. The test starts at 42 gr and ends at 46 gr (max load) @ 300yrd.

During the test I didn't see any signs of excessive pressure and by the
looks of things I may have a decent load around the 46.0 gr mark & 44.0. I think
I'm going to do another test around the 46 gr mark in a little more
detail to see if there is anything there. What do you guys thing of the data? Unfortunately I was fighting
a very strong wind and was doing my best to keep them on paper.

Another item is my foulers (at 42.0gr) shot damn good too, should I try
and get the most velocity from the rounds or settle with a lower charge?
I didn't have a chronograph during my test in case anyone was wondering.

I did upload these right side up....I'm new to this Photo.. Bucket..

Re: Ladder Test

Hate to say it but if you were fighting strong winds and having a hard time keeping shots on paper then you may want to repeat the tests since there is alot of unaccounted dispersion and the wind gives alot of vertical at that distance in that kind of wind.
Looks like some groups were shot in the same wind condition and are tight but others were shot during a cross-wind shift of velocity change and if you don't use windflags at that distance when it's really windy I learned not much will be learned about tuning the load and I wasted lots of rounds testing in the wind for a week and being discouraged only to find out on the first calm day the rifle would hold an inch at 300 yards with alot of different loads.
