I have these bullets(170 solid) and I'm curious if anyone can help with some load data. I have on hand Varget and H4895, looking for min/max charge weights for reference so I can work up loads. I'll be using once fired FGMM, also have some BHI once fired match. I'll start working on one stick (20") then the 26" PSS.

I do appreciate the help

Mark

Re: Lapua .308 data help?

tried em... Couldn't get em to shoot as well as the actual Lapua 170 Lockbase loaded ammo.

Tried Varget, IMR4895, VV140, VV150, BLC-2, RE15...

I could get MOA out of it, but the loaded ammo from Lapua shot sub MOA easily.

I wish you luck

Re: Lapua .308 data help?

Well, loaded up some using Varget and H4895. Across the board, the 20" stick(700SPS) didn't really like the Varget, Best was 45 grains averaged 2675 @ 7/8"( 5 shots at 100)The other groups almost doubled that.
The H4895 three charge weights under 1". Did 42, 42.5, 43 and 43.3. 43/43.3 were the best at 7/8" 2643 and 2656 average velocity. Nothing earth shattering on the accuracy. But for free cases and bullets, hey

I did order the roll up mat from Rifles Only the other day-not here yet but I will use it next time-beats the wet ground!
