Lapua .308 headstamp: "Lapua .308 07 02" ?

anyone ever seen a headstamp of lapua .308 brass like this?

I've got over a thousand pieces of this brass from a few diff orders and this is the only one I've ever seen like it... Anyone know what the deal with it is?

Ah The "mysterious headstamp of destiny"!
I've even been looking at all my Lapua brass both new and old and haven't found anything like that.

First, I don't know.

Now; the primer is crimped, that suggest military ammo. And then the manufactoring date becomes the seventh month of 2002.

Must be a Federal (of some country) order as the military would stamp it 7.62X51 and if it was a NATO country it would have the crosshair looking mark.

I have commercial Lapua brass back to about 1992. I have never seen anything like that particular headstamp. But I agree with those above about it's meaning.

Keep all you have and put it in your safe...you probably have a collectors item that will sell for $15.00 each in a few years. You hope. It is unique. Don't toss it. Just have patience. JMHO

Year and lot # are what you see. I have some IMI(TZZ) BMG brass like it.
