Anybody do this? Better performance and brass life?

If your using Lapua brass then you most likely will get issues with thick necks and donuts. A form die to step the case down first is a good move before F/L 260 die. MIL brass tends to be harder and forms far better than the Lapua.

Many of us do this with Lapua Palma to 6.5cm. Never did it to .260rem since I have amazing accuracy and brass life with Lapua .260rem. Also you may run into issues igniting all that powder with the larger case capacity of .260rem and a small primer pocket....

Yes you do have to neck turn but zero donut issues. I convert both LC 7.62 1x and Lapua 308 Palma.

After running Lapua virgin 260 brass and mil cases side by side the mil brass wins out. Its tougher and doesnt have the thick neck/donut issue and lasts longer with very hot loads ( thicker case web harder brass). Over 10,000 mil cases converted from 7.62 to 260 Rem.

Small primers ,..zero advantage.
