I traveled with mine to the Ohio facility in the cold of January this year. Tested CX and M+ with Vudoo G2, McMillan A6 stock, & Krieger 24" SS barrel by Apache Machine in Wilkesboro NC. Luke (as I) seemed to think leaving it in the stock made more sense, and he was able to strap it down nicely into the rest.
Results once I got the purchased ammo back home to NC:
Average of 6 x 5 shot groups @50 yards outside off a bench. Center-X best tested lot. Bought a case.
0.3845 - Mid Feb 2022
0.3500
0.3948
0.3063
0.4303 (Carbon ring buildup - cleaned following this round.)
0.2995 - Early March 2022 Calm wind
Nothing really spectacular - and with one day's exception nothing really bad. Only 4 groups total > .5" - (.586 .633 .530 .503) where 2 were that "Carbon ring" day.
Interestingly, the Midas+ which I also purchased because it outshot the CX @ 50m and substantially better @ 100m in the test tunnel fails to deliver back home in the cold. Maybe as it warms up it will be better. But on the same day with same conditions, the M+ avg is .4335 vs .2995 for CX. And it's not just an occasional flyer, the groups are just a bit open. No explanation for that. (Anybody?)
I am pleased with the results, but think there is room to improve. Will likely go up there again, the experience was nice.
